Bookings open for the latest 2018 Ford Aspire
As we know all new Ford Figo sedan and hatchback are on sale in most of the nations across the world. One such market is Brazil. The Latin NCAP very recently gave a 3-star safety rating to the new 2018 variant.
India will be getting the renewed Ford Figo sedan on 4th of next month. Here, it will be called as Aspire. The vehicle is already present across authorized Ford dealerships, where the bookings are open at present. Latest 2018 Ford Aspire Facelift borrows many features from 2018 Ford Ka+ hatchback which was unveiled in Europe. Upgradation has been made to the exteriors to fit chrome surrounds on the front grille. There are also multi-spoke alloys and stylish rear and front bumpers which are also new. The fog lamp unit has a C-shaped chrome surround which provides the car a sporty & grinning face.
In Bangalore, the new version is available at PPS Ford, authorized Ford showroom in Bangalore.
Secretary-General of Latin NCAP Alejandro Furas said, “It is encouraging to find more compact models like the Ka being improved.”
Interiors are even uplifted with a new SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system which is 6.5-inches. Users can access many features by just tapping the touchscreen. Many buttons & controls have paved away due to the touch-screen availability. With this move, the dashboard looks futuristic, trendy and de-cluttered. The other helpful addon is the push start-stop button located close to the instrument cluster. Interiors same as the previous version sports dual-tone beige & black color theme.
And coming to the engine Ford Aspire Facelift comes with all new Dragon Series 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder unit (previously it had 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine).
The latest engine produces maximum torque of 120 Nm and maximum power of 95 hp. Transmission is even updated with all new 5-speed manual unit.
Enhanced transmission is light in comparison to the present IB5 unit. Customers also have the option to go for a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The diesel model will carry on to make use of the same 1.5-litre turbocharged engine which produces 215 Nm max torque and 100 PS max power. The diesel version is lifted to a 5-speed manual transmission which is a good move.
